First for food, people and poems

Dearest of friends,

3rd of January- Aaron and I decided to escape our daily routines at Camberwell/Glenny/Knox, and decided to eat at a new resturant. We went to Cafe Lagom on Glenferrie Road. It was a pleasant surprised. I hardly say I really like something and I really liked Cafe Lagom. The staff were lovely, warm and casual and not overly obsessive on the customers. The food comprising of some interesting dishes such as mushrooms on a cheesy omelette for entre was mouth watering. It was buy one and get one free pasta night on sunday, so the asianess in me went for that one. The linguini was yummmm. The coffee was also really good, unlike the brown water they serve at Glenny. Overall, it was definately a brilliant "first time" cafe experience.

4th of January - Back into my work routine of insanely early mornings (well for me) and late nights, was not overly adventurous today. I discovered the band "nevershoutnever" on youtube. He is an youtube sensation and has now recorded some stuff. Just a young guy, making music for other people to enjoy. I must say, his music isn't really something I would listen to over and over again, but I do enjoy how unique it is. I like "Trouble", it is awesome. Please go listen to that song.

5th of January - The area I live is very quiet, seldom do you see a person walking on the street. Today, I went for a walk at 8pm for the first time. It is a bit late for my usual walks. Oh wow, there they all were, walking the streets with the rest of their families, women pushing prams and dads taking their sons out for a game of cricket. People walking their dogs. Hot guys jogging shirtless. I couldn't believe my eyes. *kindly reminder to oneself - 8pm is now my new walking time".

6th of January - I went to see the movie "Bright Star" tonight. As some of you may know, it is a movie about a real romance poet called John Keats. He wrote some of the most beautiful poems, and he wrote them in such a short time. He died at the age of 25. It is a romantic story, I must admit, I didn't really understand some of the poems, but I could still appreciate the film nevetheless.

XoXo
